In other news, I put in my notice for work yesterday! So as of July 21st I will be free ^_^ If anyone knows of any nifty job openings feel free to tell me. I figure it's about time I try something new.

I feel the need to post as yesterday was just too awesome ^_^
It took awhile for me to get going. The dryer and I had a large disagreement as usual. I expect it to dry my clothes the first time, while it's decided to take 3 times to actually dry things. I'm starting to think it might be cheaper to start hitting a laundromat.
So I managed to head over to Kelly's to catch the end of Buffy scene antics, where I realized that I've never actually even tried to do an accent before and I have no idea how to actually do an accent or even where to start. Anyone have any suggestions? This seems kind of silly considering the number of languages I know :P I can do it within the context of the language...Heh, I'm such a scientist sometimes.
We all headed downtown and a bunch of us went to Nightmare, a sort of horror tourist attraction. I'd heard of it before but I wasn't really sure what to expect. I wasn't really freaked out, but it was still very fun. I would definitely recommend it. I bet the guy who does the tour really enjoys his job ^_^
Laser tag was quite awesome, despite some setbacks :P My vest kept shutting off the first game, but we were able to talk him out of charging me (and that certainly wasn't easy) but the second time totally made up for it. I should have taken it a little easier though since I hurt my ankle the day before and it's killing me today. Ah, well. The fun was definitely worth the pain.
There was an interlude at Johnny Z's (having spent my budgeted money for the day I just hung out) before heading for movies at Kelly's. I have to say that I really like silly movies. I'm thinking of doing a Mel Brooks parody night. So we watched funny movies and Amber gave me such an awesome massage. Much love for the Amber!

My brain finally likes me. It's nice ^_^ I got my grades back and I seem to be doing very well in school. I have my super-secret project which is going along very nicely and I'm now trudging through the steps of patenting for my other idea. I can't believe how overly-legal and expensive the patenting process is. We'd probably have more nifty things if it weren't so complex. Either way, I'm not going to let it stop me! I have a good idea and for some crazy reason no one else has thought of it yet. |

Today has been an interesting day. After being off on my mini-holiday (much of which was writing a term paper sadly enough), I was back at work today. My first client had a parrot on his arm. Parrot's are odd pets. Work was fun and seemed over quickly. I stopped by my sister's place and walked out to no car. Turns out one of her neigbours saw a car in a no-parking spot (no signs of course, mind you...you're just supposed to know) and called the tow truck seconds after I stepped away from the car. I haven't seen my sister's rage turned on full throttle for awhile and I'm very glad it wasn't pointed at me. If she could get paid for that she could make a lot of money. After that was mage, which was amazing. We're at a point of sheer madness...
Madness is fun.
I will end my ramble for now.
I heard that Wal-Mart said in the T.C. that they're going to be open 24 hours starting sometime this week. Did anyone see that? |

Yay, I'm finally done my first term paper. My brain is mine to abuse now! And after the exam next week I'm home free for the year. Despite how annoying they are, I'm really enjoying classes right now. It's nice being in school and having a sense of where I'm going.
Also, I started a super-secret project! I may be looking for assistance in the future with it ^_^ |

| Recent events: Part 1 |

The past week has been quite exciting (sometimes in both good and bad ways)
It was my birthday on Friday (and Kyle's) and going to Evo's was quite fun, even though I wasn't quite in the mood for dancing. I had a really good time talking to people I don't normally talk to and watching other people get quite drunk. I still danced a little and it was fun.
Saturday was my first Requiem game, which didn't go to badly. I really like the dynamic this time around. I think it will make for some very interesting outcomes.
After that was my birthday party ^_^ That was fun. I think DDR fighting games are a good idea..and good exercise. I got these awesome socks from Calista and Wren that look like someone skinned punk cookie monster *glee* and Steven got me Gloom (which is an insanely nifty game) I will have to have another board game night sometime and get people to play it :)
Oh it seems I have to run out now....I suppose I will try to finish this later today |

I haven't really written anything this summer so I figured I would actually put something out.
I had a wonderful summer. Sure it wasn't perfect or anything, having to work and not really getting to go anywhere, but I had a lot of fun with the time I did have. I went to my very first English class in too many years yesterday and we had to write a small thing on what we did on our summer vacation :P It was pretty funny. I realized though that no one thing really made my summer as nice as it was. I got to hang out with friends, meet new people, learn new skills (sure my woodworking sucks but I'm still proud :P), and geek out to my heart's content. Though I think the attitude change I received probably helped in me being more optimistic :P
That's enough for now. I will write more later. ^_^

Well we're all moved into our new place and I have to say that I like it very much ^_^ There's been so much to do though, all crazy and busy. But in two more days we don't have to deal with our old place at all anymore...oh only one more day I suppose.
Hmm....
Fae was last night. I enjoyed myself very much so as usual. Got a few things out that I've been planning for quite sometime. I really enjoy running games. It's fun. Oh and Roman got me the new Exalted book and it's soooo pretty.

We are moving on Tuesday and if anyone wants to help us out at all we'd greatly appreciate it!
I must say I am very, very happy to be moving out of our current place. The landlords over the past few days have caused me nothing but grief. I tried to get my full month's rent cheque back since they had rented the place out for the half-month so we only had to pay half. The landlord's dad said "Oh you've known us for so long though. You can trust us!" And so the next day I put a stop on the check. It was a good thing too, considering the fact that they went ahead and deposited just like I thought they would, with the intent to "reimburse us" later. I went to talk to him today to sort things out and he started blaming all the "confusion" on Roman....riiiight. Good try, except not. So now I get to argue them down on why I shouldn't have to pay the return fees on a cheque that I asked them not to cash...Ah well..
On a lighter note I had a really good night last night ^_^ I hung out with Sarah and Lauren and they helped me get all destressed...so similar to distressed? English is a weird language. Anyways I felt a lot better. And then me and Lauren went over to the chantry and hung out with Kelly and then later Sheena. I approve of the new chantry *ding* And then relaxing fun...I had so very little sleep the night before. I was more of a space case than normal ;P |

So the landlord came later last night to tell us they were showing our place today. That's a good sign since we hope to get rid of this place asap. Less extra rent is good. Lack of warning of course means we were up way too early cleaning. Nothing to be done about the kitchen couch yet...Kitchen Couch!! ^_^
I still have no idea when they are planning on having the people over though. They might stop through while we are out. I'm not sure I like that.
Roman watched the Halo 3 trailer for the first time today (and then subsequently 20 more times thereafter). He was totally fanboying...it was so cute ^_^ |
